Hi torrey,
I have not found any way to contact you except via commenting here, your email or contact form doesn't appear anywhere in here !

Anyways, is it possible to have a wordpress google sitemaps generator plugin installed ? for example : http://www.arnebrachhold.de/projects/wordpress-plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-generator/

Thx.

Wow using IE was like picking up an old book. Had to blow the dust off. Tried it to no avail.

For now have deactivated the plugin so people can comment (and spammers too).

I haven't been able to figure out what's going on with your problem yet. Have you tried it out on your 10% Microsoft side yet? :P

When I pulled it up in Firefox, still worked for me.

Not sure what else it could be. If anyone else reads this and has used the reCAPTCHA leave a comment about how it worked for you.

Yeah still having problems. I took some screen shots to explain my problem.

Here is my options menu.
http://mr337.thecoderblogs.com/files/2008/06/screenshot.jpg
I don't have a section for reCAPTCHA but I can click the little pop up message. When I click it this is what I get.
http://mr337.thecoderblogs.com/files/2008/06/screenshot2.jpg
It's just a blank page. So odd....

Hey,

I am having a bit of trouble.
1. Turned on the plugin
2. Got a Captcha key
3. When I try to register the key under my blog there is no option for the reCaptcha. There is a litte annoying box that says "reCAPTCHA is not active You must enter your reCAPTCHA API key for it to work". So I click on it and I get the admin header but the rest of the page is blank. Exploring a little bit more it seems if the wp-recaptcha.php isn't loading all the way or is maybe blank. Any ideas?

Here's some steps you could use to prevent that spam:

1) Enable the WP-reCAPTCHA plugin.
2) Click the link at the top of the page since you most likely don't have the necessary API key. It's free to get one. For me it was easiest to open this link in a new tab, so I can easily stay at my WP control panel.
3) Once you register and get your key place the public and private keys into the options configuration page for WP-reCAPTCHA then you're all done.

*NOTE: If you want to see how it looks in action first, take a look at Torrey's blog and click on the leave a comment link.

Hi,

I was also wondering if you could add another plugin or change to remove the website field from a new comment. Spam is getting in and leaving link in the name.

I know this may not stop the spam but at least they don't even get a url back to their website. Fight spam tooth and nail.

Here is a website that said the change is easy(I hope):

ah ok cheers, that comment shouldn't be there, as I fixed it. Just needed to keep the loop running, as without an IDE the console display loop doesn't automatically continue.

10 hours includes the whole assignment... this was just half of it......

What is the point of trying to crack this RSA key? Anti-virus companies like Kaspersky could point users to a trusted application that could undelete files, or even direct users how to take advantage of technologies like Shadow Copies to restore files. And that's just the tip of the help iceburg.

By Kaspersky drawing such big attention to this malware the author(s) of it will have a larger ego and probably feel more inclined to create a bigger better version knowing that people will already fear what's coming.

Sometimes the easy way out is the best way out. Especially for a simple malware that encrypts files and deletes itself once done.

To keep that console from disappearing you could use a command like this before the return:

system("pause");

You really spent 10 hours on this?
